P.Re.Val.E. 2013The 2013 edition of the Regional Program of Assessment of Outcomes of Health Care Interventions (P.Re.Val.E.) has been published, containing the update of the analysis of the outcomes of health care interventions in the Lazio Region for the year 2012. The list of indicators has been modified and extended. In particular, the program has developed and monitors 42 indicators of volume of activity and 76 outcome indicators, grouped in 9 clinical areas: cardiology, surgery, gastroenterology, orthopedics, pneumology, neurology, gynecology/ obstetrics and community care, taking into account the different characteristics and severity of patients for a correct comparison between hospitals or geographical regions.

Furthermore, the analysis by surgery unit are available in the section "Additional analysis to support clinical and organizational audit" for the following indicators:

  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy: complications at 30 days;
  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy: proportion of hospitalizations with postoperative hospital stay of less than 3 days;

and the analysis by area of residence of the "Hospital admissions for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the ordinary regime in patients with COPD."
