The Department of Epidemiology has always been committed to the study of the air pollution and traffic effects onhealth, using time series studies and developing new methodologies. In particular, is involved in designing a system for monitoring environmental characteristics (individual pollutants and meteorological data) and production of guidelines for the interpretation of scientific research on air pollution.
